Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. I go to Sapporo Ramen Kuwana. I sometimes pass by this restaurant at lunchtime, but it may or may not be open. I saw on the web that the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays, so I went there yesterday, a Tuesday, and found that it was closed, but today it was open, so I came here.
I think it’s best not to have irregular holidays, because it’s the most unreliable.

From the outside of the restaurant, you can see how crowded it is. There is only one customer inside. I bought a meal ticket from the ticket machine at the entrance. I was going to have tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen, but miso was listed first, so I decided to have miso ramen (980 yen). But they were sold out of tonkotsu.
980 yen is a very good price. It is the same price as Ichiran. I sat behind the counter. There were two employees: a young woman working in the kitchen and an older woman working in the hall. The name tag of the kitchen woman says “Hanaho 3rd generation. She is quite young, and I guess she is the daughter of the family business.
There is a pitcher of water, a hand towel, and apparently a paper apron somewhere. There are five counter seats and two sets of tables for two. You can also eat outside. As soon as we sat down, customers kept coming in. Is it a popular restaurant?
Two minutes and 48 seconds after I placed my order, my miso ramen arrived over the counter. That’s pretty fast.
The apparent volume appears to be quite small. This is 980 yen. It depends on the taste, but it’s a bit unappealing.
A sip of soup. It is a normal miso flavor. The noodles are shiny, thin, and curly, as is typical of Sapporo ramen. I slurp it up. Yes, the noodles are as chewy and slurpable as they look. It reminds me of the cup ramen “Ra-O”.
Three pieces of medium-sized pork chashu with firm meat. Well, this is also normal. I ate quickly and left the restaurant. 980 yen is expensive. It was expensive, but I could tell it was a popular restaurant, as the customers kept coming in.
Maybe it’s because it’s a family business and they have a lot of regulars attached to them. However, I wouldn’t come here again, because 980 is expensive, the taste is average, and they are closed irregularly.
