Not extremely delicious, but I was satisfied with the delicate service and bold fried prawns. I would like to go back to Kobaya Kobaya in Shinjuku Tomikucho.
12:00 on a weekday, I went to Kobaya in Tomikyumachi, which I have been to before. I arrived almost as soon as the restaurant opened, but there were already three customers. There were 8 seats at the counter and 6 seats at the tables, and within 5 minutes the restaurant was full.

I, of course, sit at the counter. The idiots who often sit at a table for two or four people even though they are alone in such a situation. They can’t predict that two or four people might come in. Their brains are so rotten that they can’t think.
Now, there is one man in the kitchen. It seems that he and his wife are running the restaurant. Looking at the menu, there are many fried dishes in addition to hamburgers, etc.
I ordered a set of fried menchikatsu and fried shrimp for 1,000 yen. Since there is a lot of fried food, it will probably take a while. There is a pitcher of water, tissues, and no smoking.
Sixteen minutes and 34 seconds after I placed my order, my food arrived.
The set of fries consisted of the following.
White rice, menchikatsu, fried shrimp, tartar sauce that appears to be homemade for fried shrimp, lemon, a pile of cabbage, potato salad, miso soup, and jarred pickles.
Smells good. I take a bite of the menchikatsu. The crispy batter and the thick sauce go well together.
Try the fried shrimp with lemon and homemade tartar sauce. The shrimp is quite large. Delicious.
The cabbage is topped with the dressing provided at the table. Of course, it tastes good, not smelly like chain restaurants, and the potato salad is delicious.
Everything is delicious. It’s not extremely tasty to the point of being impressive, but you can tell that everything is handmade and that they are doing their very best.
When I finished eating at 12:35 p.m., there were four groups of people waiting outside. I wouldn’t wait in line to eat there, but I would recommend this Western-style restaurant to those who are fed up with sloppy customer service and tasteless food. I would like to go back.
