Tasteless soup, thin chashu pork, tasteless noodles, they don’t say “Welcome”. I probably won’t go there again.
Hakata Shokudo is located in Shinjuku 5-chome, Shinjuku-ku. Standard Nagahama Tonkotsu Ramen with thin noodles. The restaurant is large and you can see the interior from the outside, so you can see how crowded it is. The most confusing part is how to order, which is done by using the two touch pads provided.

After ordering, the customer pays the bill at the machine next to it. This accounting machine is also confusing. The person in front of me was learning how to do it from the waiter. As is typical of Nagahama Ramen restaurants, the restaurant is spacious, but it is not well cleaned, and the floor and tables are dirty. I would not recommend this restaurant to those who are nervous.
The clerk is most likely an Asian foreigner or a shitty college student. It is hard to hear what they are saying and they look like idiots.
I ordered the green onion chashu-men. The soup was thin and not rich, the noodles were thin but tasteless, as is typical of Hakata ramen, and the chashu pork was small like a chess board and paper-thin, not worth eating.
You should take a lesson from Sakauchi’s chashu-men in front of Shinjuku station.
The flavor is thin and can be thickened with the ramen sauce provided, but still not good enough. I used to eat Nagahama ramen in Kanagawa. It was so good that I would often stop by when I was in the area.
Compared to such Nagahama ramen, Hakata Shokudo’s ramen is as bad as heaven and earth. There are many dishes on the menu that have nothing to do with Hakata Ramen, such as grilled skewers. Even if it is for night, is it lost without customers? Lunch is just a cheap set meal.
The table and chairs are not the right height, making it very difficult to eat. The customer service is poor and the food does not taste good. I probably won’t go there again.
