When I pass by this area around 12:00 or so, there is always a line, sometimes even at 1:30pm. Today, it is fine. I can barely see the crowds inside the restaurant from outside.
The old man who was there last time. He says “Welcome” cheerfully. The water is served in a Thermos cup, which is not available in other restaurants. This time, I ordered tsukemen and karaage. I thought it was too high in calories, but it was only three pieces of fried chicken, so I guess it was OK.

It took 12 minutes and 34 seconds from the time I ordered it to be brought to me. The noodles were slightly thinner than the previous thick tsukemen. The soup, of course, had a more restrained and full-bodied flavor than the thick tsukemen. Perhaps this is the true taste of tsukemen. The koitsu tsukemen is too rich.
With this level of delicious flavor and the thickness of the sticky noodles, even women can eat them with ease. The thick tsukemen is delicious, but this standard tsukemen is also very tasty. The ajitsuke tamago (seasoned egg) is also good, with the perfect amount of half-boiled egg that comes out thick and fluffy.
I ordered 3 pieces of fried chicken. These are also delicious. The outside is quite crispy. The inside was juicy and overflowing with meat juices. I also felt a slight taste of ginger, but was that just my imagination?
If you get tired of eating tsukemen, try adding bonito powder provided at the table. The seafood flavor will become stronger and even more delicious. Dip the fried chicken into the tasty dipping sauce. It’s the best.
It’s not really good, not really good, but I got a soup split and drank it all down. Probably because the thick tsukemen and standard tsukemen are so good, I’m sure the others are good too.
Oh no, I’m going to have to go for a while. What shall I try next? I’ll go back because it’s delicious with just the right weight of seafood and pork bones, and the old guy who works there is very kind.
