The trouble with the place where I work is choosing a restaurant for lunch. The restaurant received a high score on the food log or Gurunavi, or was introduced as tasty on TV or other media. But when you actually try the restaurant, you find that it is not tasty, or that it is not comfortable. This is a common occurrence.
This time, the ranking is limited to ramen and tsukemen. As a 45-year-old who runs several companies and restaurants, I have actually gone to eat there, surveyed the really tasty and comfortable restaurants, and compiled my evaluation.
The survey locations are listed below.
Near 1, 3, 5, and 6-chome in Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku
Near Higashi-Shinjuku Station and Shinjuku-Gyoenmae Station
The price range is as follows.
900 – 1,500 yen
Rating details are as follows
recommend point: not recommended with 1 star, highly recommended with 5 stars
reputation point: 1 star for bad, 5 stars for good
low-priced point: expensive with 1 star, cheap with 5 stars
taste point: 1 star for bad, 5 stars for good
customer service point: 1 star makes me feel bad, 5 stars makes me feel Buddha
cleanliness point: 1 star makes you smell dirty and gross, 5 stars makes you lick the tables and chairs
My Recommendation Shinjuku Ramen Tsukemen Real Gachi Ranking
kobushi tsukemen 900yen
I was surprised when I took a bite. It was super delicious. Fish and pork dance in the mouth as half fish and half pork. The seafood and pork bones are appealing to the palate. The flavor is a bit strong, so it will be well received by hard-working men.

The crispy fried bean curd dipped in a rich fish and pork bone dipping sauce is addictive. Kobushi Tsukemen and Japanese fried chicken
fukunishiki 950yen
Beef Belly Sword Noodle. Unlike the last and previous times, it was not extremely spicy. The chewy texture of the noodles was naturally the same, and the beef flavor was very good.
The reason for the low scores for customer service and cleanliness of the restaurant is because of the smoking area, even though it is located far away from the restaurant.

Sorry to keep you waiting! I'll bring you an apron! Please take your time! Lunch at Chinese Izakaya Fukushiki Shinjuku Gyoenmae Branch
momonoki 1,050yen
It is so much better than the kotsukuri shoyu. Flat noodles, a lot of grated ginger, a bowl full of dipping sauce, pork, green onions, and a vegetable salad on top of the noodles. It looks like a small portion, but even a man can fill up.
Good is good, but the small number of seats means that there is often a line. We dare to rate it harshly in the food logs and other sources because it is a popular restaurant.

Paper aprons are available for use, and the care typical of a female owner is good. 1 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo Komugitoniku Momonoki
Shinjuku Ramen Lunch Restaurants You Should Never Visit
Do not go to the following restaurants because the taste is very bad or the customer service is so bad that it makes you feel bad.
Hakata Restaurant
Although the ramen was called “chashu-men,” the chashu pork in it was as small as a chess board and paper-thin, and I couldn’t tell whether it was meat or not. The restaurant is dirty, the service from the part-timers is terrible, and the ramen is not very good.

Small as a chess board, paper-thin, and inedible chashu pork. Lunch at Hakata Shokudo, Shinjuku 5-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
